Microsoft announced today that it is releasing the first update for Windows Phone 7. Most users have been anxiously awaiting the update that they thought would bring copy and paste support. Well, sorry folks it's a no go. Apparently the update that everyone really wantsis coming later.
From Microsoft's Blog:
"This first update for Windows Phone is designed to improve the software update process itself. So while it might notsound exciting, it’s still important because it’s paving the way for all future goodie-filled updates to your phone, such as copy and paste or improved Marketplace search."
If you have a Windows Phone 7 device you will receive a notification that your update is ready, but you will have to connect your phone to a computer to install the update. Lame-O! C'mon Microsoft. Everyone has OTA updates now.
